Here we have some more images from the Hampstead CC collection, previously belong to S.M. Gow. In these shots, he is seated in the back row, second from the right as you look. According to the page, these are from Worthing CC in 1929.
As I posted these, DocumentingCricket is around three weeks old and I’m at that point where it seems easier to stop than keep going. I realise as I upload photos and text, that I am only scratching the surface. I need so much more material to make this interesting, and engagement is zero right now. It is early days I know, but there is always that feeling that I will continue to shout into an empty room. I can see from the comments I have to moderate that the bots are finding me, so I guess that’s something.
I like to think that Mr Gow and his teammates would want me to keep going so that they, and many others, won’t be forgotten. Here’s hoping that this site can really build into something.
